About University of The Fraser Valley

Campus
The Abbotsford campus is UFV’s main campus, located in the third most diverse city in Canada. This campus features classroom and office spaces, a large library, a cafeteria, a non-smoking, four-floor residence with 102 double occupancy suites, a bookstore, a sports centre, and a new 50,000 square foot student centre that integrates student activities and campus life with key academic and administrative offices.

About Bachelors of Computer Information Systems
A UFV Bachelor of Computer Information Systems (BCIS) can help you gain the analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills required to become a manager in the IT industry.
You also gain the business and communications skills that are essential for success in the workplace.
In your last two years, you can take an optional concentration in systems and networking, software development, or security. Courses focus on building up your technical knowledge, while also equipping you with key skills in project management, statistics, and administration. If you aim for a career in big data or machine learning, you may add Mathematics minor to your degree.

Program Structure
- The BCIS course is a 4-year bachelor’s Program.
- The First and the Second Year of the program will be taught by Vidyalankar as per guidelines given by The Fraser Valley University.
- Students will be studying all articulated courses gathering 60 credits before transfer.
- Students who successfully complete 4 semesters at Vidyalankar can opt to transfer to The Fraser Valley University directly into the 3rd year of the BCIS program.
- After completing 4 semesters at The Fraser Valley University, students will be awarded a BCIS degree from University of The Fraser Valley.
