Campus
Situated on 76 hectares in the leafy Christchurch suburb of Ilam, the UC campus is a beautiful space to learn in. The Ilam campus is the central hub where learning and living are combined. It houses teaching and learning facilities, accommodation and leisure activities all together. With expansive green spaces and gardens, UC builds off the natural beauty by which it is surrounded. This includes Christchurch’s iconic Avon river which meanders alongside University Drive through the campus. The campus contains four libraries as well as computer suites with 24-hour access, lecture theatres, laboratories and studios.
City Conditions
Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and the seat of the Canterbury Region. Christchurch lies on the South Island’s east coast, just north of Banks Peninsula on Pegasus Bay. The Avon River / Ōtākaro flows through the centre of the city, with an urban park along its banks. The city’s territorial authority population is 389,300 people, and includes a number of smaller urban areas as well as rural areas. The population of the urban area is 377,900 people. Christchurch is the second-largest city by urban area population in New Zealand, after Auckland.

About Master of Business
The Master of Business (MBus) provides you with broad business skills and expertise as part of UC’s Business Taught Masters programme.
The degree explores business basics as well as a specialist major focus, and includes project opportunities through our industry contacts to give you practical experience in applying your commercial knowledge.
Open to students from any study background, the MBus offers you the chance to upskill, or a pathway for those looking to newly enter the business world

Program Structure
- The MBus course is a 2 year Full Time Masters Program.
- After successful completion of 2 semesters at VIT PGDM/MMS program students can opt to transfer to University of Canterbury. Such students are accepted by University of Canterbury, directly into the 2nd year of MBus.
- After Successfully completion of all 2 Years of Program Students will get Master of Business degree from University of Canterbury.
